This is a visual journey tracing the ancestral bond between human presence and the volcanic landscape of the volcano (Mamma) Etna—a primordial convergence of fire, earth, water, and air. This project explores the subtle fusion of body and environment, presenting the human figure as a delicate, near-evanescent presence suspended between reality and dream, dissolving into the terrain while remaining anchored in a spacious, dreamlike dimension where boundaries soften and identity unfolds through place.
The project is divided into 5 sections: Ninfe, Lava, Cenere, Rovine, Mamma Etna for a total of 30 images, taken with a digital reflex camera and not digitally altered.
