This is a visual journey exploring an ancestral bond between human presence and the majesty of Mamma Etna — a primordial symbol of fire, earth, water, and air.
Appear/Vanish delves into the profound fusion of environment and body, rendering the human figure delicate, intangible, suspended between reality and dream, carried by air, as if dissolving into the landscape and becoming an integral part of it, almost invisible to the eye.
A body that inhabits places, at times revealing fragments of its own identity, yet always anchored to a dreamlike dimension where everything is possible and nothing is ever fully defined.
The project is divided into 5 sections: Nymphs, Lava, Ashes, Ruins, and Mamma Etna for a total of 30 images, taken with a digital reflex camera and not digitally altered.
